Professional Development Days for Teachers Professional Development

Friday May 20th and Monday May 23rd will be professional development days for the employees of Johnson County Schools.  There will be NO School for students on those two days.

This week at Roan Creek, we are recognizing college and careers. Students and faculty are encouraged to dress up in their favorite college or career clothes.

3rd grade will have their field trip on Monday. The 6th graders will play kickball against the faculty and staff.

On Tuesday, 6th grade has a field trip and the 4th and 5th graders will have their awards celebration at 1:30. 

The Kindergarten celebration will be Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00pm.

On Wednesday, 1st and 2nd grade will have their award celebration at 8:30 and 3rd grade will have their celebration at 1:00pm.

Wednesday is also Kindergarten's water day.

Thursday, May 19th, 6th graders will have their "Day on the Hill" where they will visit the middle school. 5th graders will have a fun day here at the school. 1st grade and Head Start will have their water day and 4th grade has a field trip.

There will not be any school for students on May 20th and May 23rd due to teachers having a professional development day.

Please remember that the LEAPs program for the mornings and the afternoons is over for this school year.

Our field day is scheduled for May 24th and 6th grade will play basketball against the faculty and staff at 1:00pm.  

On May 25th, 6th grade will have their awards celebration at 1:30pm.

May 26th is a teacher workday with no students and the last day of school is May 27th. Dismissal will be at 11:30am.

Kindergarten Enrollment Begins for 2022-23

The window for Kindergarten enrollment for the 2022-23 school year has officially started! To complete the online enrollment process for your kindergarten student, please click on the link below.

Please note that students who are currently enrolled in PreK or Head Start in Johnson County do not have to complete the enrollment, as they are already enrolled and will be moved up accordingly.

The Effects of Absenteeism Absenteeism

Tennessee Code Annotated 49-6-3001 states that it is mandatory that all children attend school, and Tennessee Code Annotated 49-6-3007 states that any child attending a public school who has five (5) unexcused absences during a school year is considered truant and in violation of the said law.  Students and families in violation of the said law are to be placed in the Progressive Truancy Intervention Program.

The Effects of Absenteeism is a form that must be completed by families that have been placed in the Progressive Truancy Intervention Plan.  All families will be notified if they are to complete this form.  Please click on the link below to begin.  It is important that you read and answer all questions.  Click submit at the bottom of the form once you are finished.  Please note that this form will be printed and placed in your child's attendance file.  A copy will be given to the Johnson County Juvenile Court if a petition is filed.
