The Johnson County Board of Education met in special session tonight to discuss and approve the 2021-2022 Reopening plan for the district

"Roan Creek Elementary will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday, August 3rd from 4:30pm-6:00pm. 

What should you expect at this Open House?

-A HUGE "Welcome Back!"

-Meet your TEACHER!

-Backpacks and school supplies for students! 

-Photo Booth for you to make a memory or two!

-Assistance for parents/guardians who wish to update their Skyward Returning Student information!

-Information Table

In anticipation for our 20th year school anniversary (School Year 2022-2023), we will be selling past yearbooks!

TSBA Required Policy Changes

The following Johnson County School Board Policies will be updated based upon TSBA recommendations and recent legislation. The Johnson County School Board recommended that this information be posted to the website for public review due to the large amount of required changes, and it will officially be voted on during the upcoming August meeting. If you have any questions or comments about any of these changes, you can review our current School Board Policy information or reach out to us during our usual business hours.

Returning Student  Registration is now open! Please go to your Skyward Family Access Portal and begin updating your child's information for the new school year!

If you have a child who will begin Kindergarten, make sure you register them as soon as possible on the Kindergarten registration link located on the website.

We are excited to begin a new school year!

Our Open House will be August 3rd from 4:30-6:00pm here at RCE. Teachers will be giving out school supplies. You do not need to purchase anything for school this year, unless you want to.

We have backpacks and all the school supplies that your child will need. We were blessed to be able to do this for our students and parents.

Danny Herman Trucking and Elizabethton Federal assisted in purchasing backpacks for our students. We are very appreciative of them.

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces on August 3rd for Open House and on August 10th for the first half day of school for grades 1-6th.

Kindergarten will do staggered enrollment beginning August 12thand their first full day will be August 16th.

Head Start will have an Open House on August 13th from 10:00-11:00am.

BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES!

RCE will have school supplies for students at our Back to School Night on August 3rd from 4:30-6:00pm! Students can choose a backpack, pencils, folders, and more! We are very excited about providing these items for our students. We look forward to seeing you on August 3rd!!

2021 Staff Professional Development Calendar

The 2021 Summer Professional Development calendar for Johnson County School staff is now available! 
We don’t have as many offerings this summer due to hosting required summer school. Teachers should contact the appropriate supervisor with questions.
